The $59.99 (direct) Roku 2 HD is a scaled down version of the Roku 2 XD and Roku 2 XS ($99.99, 3 stars), the latter of which we reviewed. It can stream content from more than 300 different channels and apps through its built-in Wi-Fi for connecting it to your network. It lacks the motion controller that comes with the Roku 2 XS, which adds a motion control element to games like the included Angry Birds, but otherwise offers the same content. However, that content can only be shown at up to 720p resolution, while the Roku 2 XD and XS have 1080p resolution. Also, like the XD, the HD lacks an Ethernet port or USB port, limiting your connectivity options.
